Claws Out for the Cougars!

It’s time to show your Cougar Pride loud and proud! This Homecoming season, we’re calling on the entire community to rally behind our Alleghany Cougars and paint the town in true Cougar spirit.

What it means:
“Claws Out for the Cougars” is more than a slogan—it’s a challenge! We want to see homes, businesses, and community spaces decked out in Cougar pride. From bold signs and banners to paw prints, streamers, and lights—let’s make sure every corner of our town roars with spirit.

Why it matters:
When our team takes the field, they should know they have an entire community standing behind them. By decorating and showing your pride, you’re not only supporting our athletes but also building community pride and unity.

How you can join in:

• Decorate your business windows, doors, and storefronts

• Hang banners, balloons, or posters at your home

• Show off Cougar colors wherever you can—Navy Blue, Columbia Blue, and White!

• Get creative—add paw prints, claw marks, or your own Cougar-themed designs

• Have your store front/homes ready for the Homecoming Parade in Covington on September 29, 2025 and continue your display that week to show your support to AHS.
